In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Islam in Korea, the Korean Muslim Federation (KMF) hosted the KMF International Halal Seminar at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul on 13 August 2025.
The seminar brought together around 70 participants, including speakers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Türkiye. Representing Malaysia, Dr Mohamad Kori Jusoh, Deputy Director-General of JAKIM, presented an in-depth overview of Malaysia’s halal certification process and shared insights into the growing global halal market estimated to reach USD2.72 trillion in 2025. The event concluded with a dinner reception to honour the speakers and guests, fostering deeper collaboration and mutual understanding among participating nations.
