In line with the efforts by the Government of Malaysia to contain the spread of COVID-19 from travellers abroad who are entering Malaysia, effective from 24 July 2020, all returning travellers are required to undergo mandatory quarantine at dedicated quarantine centres for a period of 14 days, upon arrival at the Malaysian international point of entry. (The implementation of the above policy is not applicable to land entry between Johor and Singapore for Malaysian and Singaporean citizens.)
- The location of the quarantine centres will be determined by the relevant Malaysian authorities upon arrival at the Malaysian international point of entry. Returning travellers will not be allowed to choose the quarantine centre.
- The costs for the quarantine are as follows:

[Notes:
- Travelers are required to pay a deposit or make full payment during check-in at the quarantine centers. The usa of credit card is encouraged for payment.
- Sponsored Malaysian students who have completed their studies abroad and are returning to Malaysia are advised to consult with their respective sponsors on the quarantine payment. At the sponsors’ discretion, they may issue a Letter of Guarantee to cover the costs of the quarantine for students, to be submitted by the students to the relevant Malaysian authorities upon check-in.
- Effective from 24 July 2020, all travellers from the Republic of Korea who are planning to enter Malaysia must fill in a Letter of Undertaking (LoU) and email it to the Embassy of Malaysia in the Republic of Korea (mwseoul@kln.gov.my) at least three (3) days before departure date, for certification. The Embassy will then issue a Travel Notice to the travellers via email. The Lou must be submitted to the relevant Malaysian authorities upon arrival at the Malaysian international point of entry.
- For non-Malaysian citizens, failure to submit the Travel Notice during check-in at the airport may result in being prevented from boarding the aircraft. For Malaysian citizens, failure to submit the Travel Notice shall not result in being denied the right to board the aircraft. Instead, failure by Malaysian citizens to submit the document will complicate and delay the admission and quarantine processes.
- The Government of Malaysia no longer requires all travellers to undergo COVID-19 screening test prior to departure to Malaysia. However, all travellers must check with their respective airlines well in advance on any COVID-19 requirements set by the airlines to avoid complications at the airport.
- All travellers are required to undergo COVID-19 screening test upon arrival at the Malaysian international point of entry. The costs for the test will be borne by the travellers, as determined by the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
- All travellers are required to download, register, and activate MySejahtera online application before entering Malaysia. The application can be downloaded through the URL link at: https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my
