On 5 February 2025, H.E. Dato' Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, along with ASEAN Ambassadors in Seoul, attended a Working Luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Kim Hong Kyun, First Vice Minister of the Republic of Korea.
As the current chair of the ASEAN Committee in Seoul, H.E. Ambassador Zamruni reaffirmed ASEAN’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Republic of Korea under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), highlighting its potential to elevate ASEAN-ROK relations to greater heights.
H.E. First Vice Minister Kim Hong Kyun, in his remarks, provided insights into the current domestic political situation in the Republic of Korea and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening cooperation with ASEAN under the Korea-ASEAN Solidarity Initiative (KASI). The luncheon served as a valuable platform for open dialogue and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to advancing ASEAN-ROK cooperation across various sectors.
