From 9 – 11 September 2025, Seoul hosted the 26th World Knowledge Forum, organised by Maekyung Media Group, at Jangchung Arena and The Shilla Hotel. This year’s theme, “New Odyssey: Navigating the Great Transition” reflected the Forum’s focus on the complex global changes shaping our societies and economies. Over 500 distinguished guests attended the Opening Ceremony, including the Deputy Chief of Mission of Malawakil Seoul.
The Opening Ceremony was presided over by H.E. Kim Min-seok, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, with a keynote address by Justin Trudeau, former Prime Minister of Canada, on “Leadership, Solidarity, and Humanity’s New Challenges in the Era of Great Transition”.
Over three days, participants engaged in plenary sessions, open-stage talks, and concurrent panels/workshops across the two venues. Discussions spanned a wide array of topics, from investing in the future and AI transition, to industrial innovation and human/cultural dimensions of change, providing a rich platform for exchange and collaboration among global thought leaders.
