Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, led the Malaysian delegation at the Second Advance Visit for the APEC 2025 Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) in Gyeongju on 30 September–1 October 2025.
Organised by the Preparatory Office for APEC 2025, the visit brought together approximately 180 delegates from 21 APEC member economies, ROK government agencies, and the APEC Secretariat to review progress on preparations for the AELM. Participants conducted site visits to key venues, including the Gyeongju Hwabaek International Convention Center, Lahan Select Gyeongju, Gyeongju Arts Center, Gimhae International Airport, and the newly constructed International Media Center. The visit provided an important opportunity for delegations to assess travel routes, facilities, and security measures ahead of the AELM, which will be held from 31 October to 1 November, as part of APEC 2025 Economic Leaders’ Week in Gyeongju.
