The Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul successfully organised the Johor State Investment Mission to the Republic of Korea from 27 October to 1 November 2024. Led by Chief Minister YAB Dato' Onn Hafiz Ghazi, the investment mission promoted the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) under the theme "Unlocking Regional Growth: Business Opportunities in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone."
The seminar attracted over 100 participants, including business leaders and investors, who engaged in discussions about the strategic advantages of the JS-SEZ in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and logistics. This mission served as a valuable platform for networking and direct engagement between Johor's leadership and potential investors. As part of the program, the delegation also joined H.E. Dato' Mohd Zamruni Khalid, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, for dinner at his residence, as well as dinner with 47 Johorean students at Bombay Grill Restaurant in Itaewon.
Overall, the initiative underscores Malaysia's commitment to enhancing bilateral trade relations and attracting foreign direct investment to drive sustainable economic growth in the region.
