The National Audit Department of Malaysia led by Auditor General of Malaysia, YBhg. Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi participated in the 59th Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) on 20-22 September 2023 held in Busan, Republic of Korea.
At the meeting, member of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) reached a consensus on all 28 agenda items of the meeting. The National Audit Department of Malaysia received unanimous support to establish the ASOSAI Working Group on State-Owned Enterprises (WGSOE) and appointed as the Chairman. The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia was selected as the host for the 26th Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) in 2028 while the General Court of Audit Saudi Arabia was chosen to host the 17th ASOSAI Assembly in 2027.
Earlier, the Malaysian delegation held bilateral meetings with six SAIs from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea and Saudi Arabia to discuss potential cooperation between both sides.
