| H.E. Dato’ Ramlan Ibrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea was given the honour to make the congratulatory remarks at the Tourism Malaysia Year-end Dinner on 8 December in Seoul. Dato’ Ramlan in acknowledging the contributions ofsall stakeholders and players in the tourism industry highlighted the increasing people-people contacts arising from the enhanced connectivity between the two countries. Indeed, Malaysian tourist arrivals had seen a sharp increase of 44.9 per cent from January to November this year. According to Korean statistics, tourist arrivals from Malaysia registered the highest growth among ASEAN countries. H.E. Ambassador also noted that from 2003 to 2010 there had been a remarkable 153 per cent growth in Korean tourist arrivals in Malaysia |
