TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR MALAYSIANS HEADING OVERSEAS
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs refers to an article published by The Star on 13 March 2018 titled ‘5,000 Malaysians are illegals in South Korea’ and would like to remind Malaysians travelling abroad to apply for the appropriate visas in accordance with the purpose of the visit.
Malaysians planning to work abroad need to go through proper channel and comply with procedures regulated by the particular country, including obtaining a valid working visa or permit before entering the particular country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Malaysians not to be lured by job offerings abroad prior to obtaining a valid working visa or permit.
