Two exclusive interview sessions were held on 13 October 2025 at Rumah Malaysia, the Official Residence of the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid. The back-to-back recordings were conducted separately by KTV National Broadcasting (KTV 국민방송) and Arirang TV.
The first recording, conducted by KTV National Broadcasting, focused on Malaysia’s perspectives leading up to the APEC Summit 2025, which is scheduled to take place in the historic city of Gyeongju from 31 October to 1 November 2025. The interview sought to amplify the growing anticipation surrounding the Summit, where leaders and representatives from 21 member economies are expected to gather to discuss strategies for sustainable growth, digital innovation, and inclusive prosperity across the Asia-Pacific region.
In the interview, H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamruni underscored Malaysia’s commitment to the APEC process and its long-standing advocacy for open trade, equitable development, and collaborative solutions to global challenges, in line with Malaysia’s MADANI values and the ongoing Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.
The subsequent interview, hosted by Arirang TV, formed part of its upcoming ‘’Hidden Stories’’ documentary series on Channel 166, which aims to uncover untold narratives of diplomacy, culture, and international cooperation with the Republic of Korea. During the session, H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamruni shared historical and contemporary insights of Malaysia – Republic of Korea relations, highlighting the enduring friendship between the two nations, particularly in the fields of trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchanges. He also spoke on Malaysia’s leadership role within ASEAN, as well as the country’s commitment to fostering mutual understanding and people-to-people connectivity between Malaysia and the Republic of Korea.
Both interviews provided an excellent platform to showcase Malaysia’s active engagement in regional cooperation and multilateral diplomacy, while also strengthening the visibility of Malaysia’s constructive role within ASEAN and APEC frameworks.
