Y.A.B. Prime Minister and wife are addressing students and professionals who are based in seven countries including South Korea during a video conference in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration at Seri Perdana.
During the video-conference, H.E. Dato’ Ramlan bin Ibrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to South Korea briefed the Prime Minister on the state of affairs of Malaysian students studying at Korean universities. Y.A.B. Prime Minister was impressed with the academic achievements of Malaysians students in South Korea as well with two students Mr. Jaramier Cobrado Joibi and Ms. Khoo Hui Chin, First Years of Seoul National University, who spoke Korean fluently, joking that he only knew two Korean words, 'kimchi' and 'kamsahamnida', referring to a Korean delicacy and 'thank you', respectively.

At the end of the session, Y.A.B Prime Minister and wife exchanged Chinese New Year wishes with Malaysians abroad. He also reminded the students abroad to return home upon completing their studies and contribute towards the country’s development and prosperity. He said that the Chinese community believes that the Year of the Rabbit will provide additional rewards. As such, the Prime Minister hopes this will also mean more success for Malaysian students abroad, which will translate into Malaysia’s success.

Nearly 50 Malaysians including the Embassy officials and spouses, students and professionals attended the video conferencing at the Embassy of Malaysia’s hall.
