ASEAN FILM WEEK IN KUWAIT, 3-8 DECEMBER 2017
The ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) with the cooperation of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), Kuwait successfully organized the ASEAN Film Week on 3-8 December 2017 at the National Library of Kuwait.
The opening ceremony was held on 3 December 2017 with the attendance of all ASEAN Ambassadors in Kuwait, as well as officials from NCCAL, the National Library of Kuwait and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kuwait. For the opening night, Polis Evo, a feature film from Malaysia was screened to the audience in Kuwait.
Eight other films from ASEAN countries were also shown to the public on the remaining nights, namely Kayan Beauties (Myanmar), Habibie & Ainun (Indonesia), Ada Apa Dengan Rina (Brunei Darussalam), The Overture (Thailand), Terbaik Dari Langit (Malaysia), Only Love (Laos), Welcome to Vietnam (Vietnam) and Bayan Ko (The Philippines).
The ASEAN Film Week 2017 has successfully showcased the vibrant culture and traditions of the ASEAN countries through the medium of film.

MINGGU FILEM ASEAN DI KUWAIT, 3-8 DISEMBER 2017
Jawatankuasa ASEAN di Kuwait (ACK) dengan kerjasama Majlis Kebangsaan bagi Kebudayaan, Kesenian Dan Kesusasteraan Kuwait (NCCAL) telah berjaya menganjurkan Minggu Filem ASEAN pada 3-8 Disember 2017 di Perpustakaan Negara Kuwait.
Majlis pembukaan telah diadakan pada 3 Disember 2017 dengan kehadiran Duta Besar-Duta Besar negara-negara ASEAN, serta pegawai-pegawai dari NCCAL, Perpustakaan Negara Kuwait dan Kementerian Luar Negeri Kuwait. Di malam pembukaan, filem cereka Polis Evo dari Malaysia telah ditayangkan kepada umum.
Lapan buah filem dari negara-negara ASEAN yang lain telah turut ditayangkan pada malam-malam seterusnya, iaitu Kayan Beauties (Myanmar), Habibie & Ainun (Indonesia), Ada Apa Dengan Rina (Brunei Darussalam), The Overture (Thailand), Terbaik Dari Langit (Malaysia), Only Love (Laos), Welcome to Vietnam (Vietnam) and Bayan Ko (Filipina).
Minggu Filem ASEAN 2017 telah berjaya memaparkan keunikan budaya dan tradisi negara-negara ASEAN melalui wadah perfileman.
