The 3rd Meeting of the ASEAN- Republic of Korea Eminent Persons Group (EPG), Vientiane, 29-31 July 2009

The 3rd Meeting of the ASEAN- Korea Eminent Persons Group (EPG) was held in Vientiane from 29-31 July 2009. The Malaysian delegation was led by YBhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Muhammad Leo Michael Toyad Abdullah and was accompanied by Mr. Chuan Teong Ban, Deputy Director General from Wisma Putra. 40 participants from ASEAN and Republic of Korea attended the meeting. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the draft report on enhancing the ASEAN-Republic of Korea comprehensive cooperation towards a strategic partnership. The meeting was jointly chaired by H.E. Bounkeut Sangsomsak, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Lao PDR and Mr. Han Tae Kyu, head of delegation of the Republic of Korea.
