Passport Renewal

RENEWAL OF PASSPORT APPLICATION

Malaysians residing in Lebanon, Cyprus and Syria, may renew their international passports through the Embassy of Malaysia, Beirut, Lebanon. Applicants are advised to submit their applications well in advance, (e.g. 3 months before the expiry date of passport or when the passport has less than 3 pages left) as the renewal process of passports, would normally take time.

Application must be made in person at the Consular Section of the Embassy between 9.00 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. on any working days (Mondays to Fridays). The requirements for passport renewal are as follows:

• Fill up the application form of IM.42-Pin.1/97 (obtainable from the Embassy);
• Submit two (2) recent identical photographs with plain white background (3.5cm x 5.5cm);
• A valid international passport;
• A copy of a Malaysian identity card (Mykad);
• A copy of a Birth certificate or Form W;
• Proof of residence in Lebanon, Cyprus and Syria; and,
• Passport fee of RM200.00 is chargeable for 5 years validity payable in equivalent of US Dollar (a special fee of RM150.00 is extended only to children below 12 years old and students who are able to produce a proof of studying abroad at the time of application).
