History

Brief History

 

The diplomatic ties between Malaysia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were established in March 1958.

The Embassy was first located in the Strand Hotel Yangon. Later, the Embassy shifted to Shin Saw Pu Road, Sanchaung Township (now the Diplomatic School Yangon) before relocating to Pyay Road.

The Chancery moved to its current location at 82, Pyidaungsu Yeiktha Road in 1988.
