Application for New/Renewal of Malaysia Passport

Applications for a new or renewal of Malaysia Passport are only allowed for Malaysian citizens who are staying and remaining in the country. Applicants must have a valid working permit/student permit/any long-term pass in Myanmar. The applicant must present himself/herself at the Malaysia Embassy’s Visa Section Office. Please take note that the Embassy does not keep the current applicant’s passport while the renewal process is ongoing. The old passport will be cancelled once the applicant receives the new one.

Passport Application Requirement

           - Complete the Original Passport Immigration Form

- Original passport and one set copy of the whole pages of Malaysia Passport

- IC original and copy (12 years old and above)

           - Supporting Letter from Company/School/University/Monastery

              (Employee/Student/Monk/Religious)

        - Foreigner Registration Certificate (FRC)

- Myanmar Visa/Permanent Resident/Long Term Visa/Stay Permit

           - Birth Certificate original and copy (below 12 years old)

           - Parent’s Passport/IC original and copy (below 12 years old)

           - Parent Marriage Certificate original and copy (below 12 years old)

           - 4 passport size photos  

           - Estimated duration - 4 to 5 months
           - Passport New/Renewal fees       - USD 50 (12-59 years old)

                                                                  - USD 25 (60 years and above)
