On 28 February 2009, Datin Norini Mokhtar, wife of the Ambassador and President of the International Cultural and Charity Group, Yangon (ICCG) donated Kyat 6,000,000 (USD 6000) to H.E U Kyaw Thu, Chairman of the Tripartite Core Group (TCG) to assist in the recovery and rehabilitation work for the victims of the Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar. The fund was raised by the ICCG through the ICCG Charity Bazaar which was held on 7th February 2009 in the Embassy of Malaysia’s compound.
