MALAYSIA HIGHER EDUCATION EXHIBITION, 25-26 APRIL 2009, YANGON, UNION OF MYANMAR
An exhibition entitled the Malaysia Higher Education Exhibition was held in Yangon, Union of Myanmar from 25-26 April 2009. The Exhibition was organised by the Malaysia Education Promotion Centre based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and participated by several higher education institutions from Malaysia.
H.E Dato’ Mazlan Muhammad, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Union of Myanmar officiated this event and in his opening speech highlighted the progress achieved by Malaysia in the higher education sector since independence. He also outlined the reasons for Myanmar students to consider Malaysia as their potential higher education destination. Among the reasons outlined by the Ambassador was high standard, affordable fees and living cost, similar medium of instruction as Myanmar and stable political environment.
After the opening ceremony, H.E Dato’ Mazlan Muhammad visited all the exhibition booths and greeted the participants and visitors of the exhibition.
