SEA GAMES Update - ATM service in Myanmar.
"Please be informed that Malaysian Athletes/officials are able to withdraw money using their Malaysian Debit Card ATM cards (either with VISA or Mastercard logo) at the selected Myanmar banks’ ATM (AGD Bank / KBZ Bank and CB Bank) in Yangon and Naypyitaw. To double check – there should be “PLUS” logo for VISA or “CIRRUS” logo for Mastercard at the back of their Debit Card.
However their ATM cards MUST be enabled for overseas withdrawals. For this, athletes/officials are required to activate their ATM cards to allow “Overseas withdrawals” at our ATMs in Malaysia before they depart for Myanmar.
However for such withdrawals, there will be charges associated with the withdrawals. Myanmar banks are charging Kyat 5,000 per transaction (equiv RM15 to 16)."
