On 12 September 2020, H.E. Gloria Tiwet, the High Commissioner of Malaysia hosted the ASEAN Heads of Missions in Abuja, Nigeria, for a Progam called Merdeka Walk and Lunch, in conjunction of the 63rd Merdeka celebrations. All the Home Based Staffs (HBS) and spouses, including the Locally Recruited Staffs (LRS) of the High Commission also participated in the program.
