On 30 January 2023, H.E. Gloria Tiwet, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Nigeria paid a farewell courtesy call on H.E. Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. Both agreed that Malaysia and Nigeria relations have strengthened since 1965 and more cooperation should be pursued in the years to come.
