Visit of FCT Minister to Malaysia Gardens,

Saraji District, Abuja

 

Hon. Senator Adami Aliero, Minister of Federal Capital Territory visited the Malaysia Gardens site on 28 May, 2009 along side with his officials and members of the media.

 

The FCT Minister was received by His Excellency Nik Mustafa Kamal bin Nik Ahmad, the High Commissioner of Malaysia and the Vice President of Global Framework Nigeria Limited.

 

This project is envisaged to develop 14,085 housing units with modern and communal amenities including community centers, hospital, medical centers, library and recreational facilities. Malaysia Gardens is one of the largest Nigerian and Malaysian collaborative private sector investment in Nigeria thus far with a total investment of USD 600 million. It is estimated that the Malaysia Gardens will be home to 100,000 to 120,000 people when it is fully completed.

 

Malaysia Gardens is expected to be completed within a 5-year development period, consists of 4 residential precincts, commercial center, public utilities and other amenities.
