| Ambassador Dr Fauziah officiated the Malaysian Tropical Orchid Garden booth at the Fourth International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) held in Vijfhuizen from 6-8 November 2013.The floriculture trade fair gathered over 300 growers and buyers of cut flowers and potted plants worldwide to showcase their flowers, products for flower arrangements, share first-hand research and development projects and establish business contacts. Malaysia’s participation was through the collaboration of the Agriculture Office, FAMA, Ter Haar Ornamental BV and Hock Wee Nursery. Focusing on orchids, the layout and design of the booth was intended to evoke feelings of tranquillity amidst a tropical garden. The strategy was successful, resulting in numerous trade enquiries, including potential investments in flower farming in Malaysia. |
