21 July 2024, the Embassy was invited to attend the launching programme of a book "Border History from a Borneo Longhouse" in Amsterdam, organised by the Netherlands-Malaysia Association (VNM).
The author is Dr. Valerie Mashman, an antropologist based in Sarawak and it is about her in-depth research of the Kelabit ethnic group. Together with her husband, Datu' Ose Murang, and daughter Alena, the lunching program was both academic as well as entertaining with beautiful and mesmerising songs and dances of the Kelabit.
The book is published by Amsterdam University Press, and it is available online.
