On 29^th July 2009 at 12.30 noon, H.E. Dato’ Ilankovan Kolandavelu, Ambassador of Malaysia to Nepal hosted a lunch to bid farewell to Mr. Mohamad Nizam, Third secretary and Head of Chancery and also to welcome his successor, Mr. Ruhaizad Ahmad at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. The lunch was attended by 22 Deputy Head of Mission, based in Kathmandu. The lunch also provided an opportunity to introduce the new Third Secretary/Head of Chancery to the diplomatic corps in Kathmandu.

On 30^th July 2009, the Ambassador also hosted a farewell dinner for Mr. Mohamad Nizam and to welcome Mr. Ruhaizad Ahmad. The dinner was held on behalf of the staff of the Embassy of Malaysia. The Embassy of Malaysia while thanking Mr. Mohamad Nizam for his contribution, wished him a good tour of duty at Wisma Putra
