HE DATO' ILANKOVAN KOLANDAVELU LAUNCHED LOOK NEPAL MAGAZINES SPECIAL ISSU ON MALAYSIA-NEPAL BILATERAL RELATIONS

“LOOK NEPAL” one of Nepal’s popular magazine on social/tourism matters, once again launched a special edition on Malaysia for the fifth-consecutive year. This year’s special edition was launched in conjunction with 53rd National Day as well as the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relation between Nepal and Malaysia. The launching ceremony was held in Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole, Kathmandu on 29th September 2010.  Invitees were officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Nepal Tourism Board, business community, media, former Ambassadors to Malaysia and professionals.  As the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Nepal fell sick at the eleventh hour, the edition was launched by Secretary-General, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal who sat in for the DPM.  Speakers from business community highlighted their efforts on forging economic cooperation between Malaysia and Nepal.  As usual, His Excellency Dato’ Ilankovan Kolandavelu, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Nepal briefed the development process in Malaysia and highlighted the importance of stable government for the sustainable prosperity in the country. His Excellency Ambassador of Malaysia also indicated that Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia are currently making preparations for operating the Kuala Lumpur-Kathmandu sector. With this air connectivity, the people to people interactions through trade, tourism and higher education could be further promoted.
