Savvy, Gen2 and Persona Launched
Constant Business Group (CBG), authorized distributor of Proton vehicles, launched three new models of Proton cars – Savvy (hatchback), Gen2 (premium hatchback) and Persona (sedan). The event took place on November 24 at its showroom – Suva Motors, Naxal. All three cars were launched by the Charge d' affaires of the Malaysian Embassy, Fadli Adilah.
“We simultaneously launched three different segments of cars so that we can meet the needs of different fractions of customers at the same time,” said Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, managing director of CBG, adding that they have targeted Savvy at family car seekers, Gen2 at youngsters and Persona at businesspeople. According to him, these Malaysian Cars – Savvy, Gen2 and Persona – are priced at Rs 2.075 million, Rs 3.05 million, and Rs 3.075 million respectively. “We are expecting to sell as many as 100 units of the cars within the first year,’ he added.
Powered by 1149cc D4F 4-cylinder 16-valve engine, Savvy offers a maximum speed of 170 kmph while delivering maximum power of 74hp at 5500rmp. Designed with front windows that offer uniquely low-cut style, integrated headlamp unit with turn signal, additional halogen front fog lamps and wraparound modular bumper, this hatchback is obviously appealing. Moreover, perfectly flat-folding seats ensure spacious interior space in the car. Powerful air-conditioning system, power window, custom-built clarion audio system and built in CD player with FM are added luxury features.
Meanwhile, encased within a sporty appearance, Gen2, equipped with 1600cc S4PH 4cylinder DoHC 16v campro engine, delivers a maximum torque of 148Nm per 4000 rpm. The interior of the five-seater premium hatch-back is ergonomically styled for maximum convenience with classy and modern dashboard and cockpit. Likewise, Persona reflects the owner’s personality, with its stylish looks and luxury features.
