The 6th Asia Pacific Regional Scouts Leaders Summit from 1-5 March

The 6^th Asia Pacific Regional Scouts Leaders Summit was held from 1-5 March 2009 at Hotel De L’ Annapurna, Kathmandu, Nepal. In conjunction with the Summit, a dinner - “Jamuan Malaysia” was hosted by H.E. Dato’ Ilankovan Kolandavelu, on 3^rd March 2009 at Soaltee Crown Plaza mainly to promote and entice the Scouts Associations from Asia Pacific countries to attend 3 scouts conferences which Malaysia will be hosting in October 2009.  Scouts Association members from 24 countries gathered in Nepal. Malaysian Delegation was headed by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Shafie Haji Mohd. Salleh, Ketua Pengakap Negara ( also the former Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia ).  The function was also used to promote the Malaysia Tourism Sector, Higher Education in Malaysia and Malaysia My Second Home Programme
