Her Excellency Dato' Rosmidah Zahid, High Commissioner of Malaysia to New Zealand with concurrent accreditation to Cook Islands, Niue and Samoa completed her tour of duty in Wellington on 29 September 2014. This day also marked Her Excellency's last day and retirement from the Malaysian Foreign Service after 35 years of service.
A Farewell Reception in honour of H.E. Dato' Rosmidah Zahid was hosted by the High Commission of Malaysia in Wellington on 24 September 2014, attended by representatives from the Malaysian community and students, Malayan Veterans Association, FIANZ, Newlands and Kilbirnie mosques, and all staffs of the High Commission.
The new High Commissioner-designate, Her Excellency Dato' Lim Kim Eng is expected to arrive in Wellington in early October.
