PASSPORT RENEWAL
Current passport must be valid when applying for passport renewal at the Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat. The following documents are required for passport renewal:

Form IM42 (download here);

Parents/ Guardian Permission (Form A1/B1) is required for applicant of 18 years old and below (download here);

Original Passport;
-
Two (2) copies of MyKad / MyKid;

Two (2) copies of Passport;
-
Two (2) copies of Omani visa;

Two (2) copies of Resident Card;
-
Two (2) copies of Birth Certificate / Form H (if born outside Malaysia);

Two (2) copies of Marriage Certificate (required for applicant of 18 years old and below); and
-
Three (3) recent passport-sized photographs (with white background).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How long does it take to receive a new passport?
Applicant will usually receive the new passport between two to three months at the Embassy.
2. How much do I have to pay for a new passport?
Fees are OMR24.00 per person. For students, children under 12, and senior citizens above 60, the fees are OMR12.00 per person
3. What should I do if my passport is stolen or lost?
You must lodge a police report at the nearest Royal Oman Police station and provide a copy of the report to the Embassy of Malaysia, Muscat.
