On 2 November 2017, Philippines chaired the 28th ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM) Meeting at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The Meeting was attended by six members of the ACM which consists of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. During the meeting, the ACM discussed its plans and activities including a proposal to visit Duqm in December 2017. The meeting was followed by a luncheon with two VIP guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman - Undersecretary of Diplomatic Affairs and Chief of ASEAN Department. The luncheon was hosted by Singapore at Coma Prima Restaurant, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Muscat.
