3RD OMAN-MALAYSIA GOLF TOURNAMENT CONCLUDED
The Malaysian team won the closely contested 3rd Oman-Malaysia Golf Tournament held at the prestigious The Mines Resort and Golf Club near Kuala Lumpur on 5-6 April 2012.
40 players from both countries participated in the two days event which was the game record while 21 sponsors and invited guest were included on the first day of the event.
Similar to the previous two years, the event continued to be held in a highly competitive and friendly atmosphere with the first two yearly tournaments held in Muscat and won by Oman.
A Gala Dinner was organised by Petronas in conjunction with the tournament. The Sultanate was represented by its Ambassador to Malaysia, H.E. Aflah Sulaiman Mohammed Al Taei while Malaysia was represented by its Ambassador to the Sultanate H.E. Dato’ Rustam Yahaya. The event was also graced with the presence of the Sultanate’s Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, H.E. Mohamed Abdullah Al Riyami and representatives of the various sponsors.
