H.E. Dato’ Rustam Yahaya and the Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat have hosted an Open House event to celebrate this year’s Aidilfitri. Close to 500 Malaysians living in the Sultanate attended the event which was held at the Official Residence of H.E. Ambassador in Shatti Al Qurum, Muscat on 22 September 2011.
Attendees to the event which included Embassy staff and Malaysian community in Oman were treated to a sumptuous spread of Malaysian delicacies prepared by the Embassy and Perwakilan Muscat that included chicken and beef satay, soto, nasi dagang, ikan asam pedas and variety of raya cookies. The ever generous Malaysian community in Oman also contributed food and drinks during the event.
H.E. Ambassador, Y.Bhg. Datin and Embassy officials conveyed their expression of gratitude and appreciation to all parties who have made the event a success. All Malaysians in Oman generally look forward to attend such a gathering that would opportune them to cordially meet and greet with each other.
