The ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM) organized an ASEAN Bowling Tournament 2015 on Saturday, 30 May 2015 at the Star Bowling Centre, Funzone in Muscat. The bowlers comprised of ambassadors of the ASEAN countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman namely; Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand as well as the Consul General of Singapore.
Aside from the Ambassadors and spouses representing respective countries, home based staff, the Embassy’s local staff as well as some from the community made up for each country’s 10 man team. At the end of the three game tournaments, the winner of the VIP Category goes to the team comprising of Ambassador of Indonesia, Ambassador of the Philippines and their respective spouses.
The man category was won by Indonesia and bowlers from the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were among the top 6. On the other hand, the Thai ladies dominated the women category, clinching four out of the six trophies up for grabs.
