BRIEFING AND DISCUSSIONS ON LABOUR AND INVESTMENTS LAWS; RUMAH MALAYSIA; 7 JULY 2013

His Excellency Dato’ Rustam Yahaya, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Sultanate of Oman hosted a special session to discuss labour and investments laws in Oman with Malaysians at Rumah Malaysia on 7 July 2013. The event was also attended by all Home Based Staff and Locally Recruited Staff of the Embassy. More than 50 Malaysians attended the event.

 

The briefing was made by Mr. Ali Nassir Seif Al Bualy, former Attorney General of the Sultanate of Oman and notable practising lawyer at the Supreme Court of the Sultanate. During the event, Mr. Ali Al Bualy has discussed labour law issues with Malaysians particularly on the rights of both employees and employers in the Sultanate, as well as procedures of handling labour disputes at the Manpower Ministry as well as Courts. He also shared his knowledge on the investments laws and regulations for foreign entities interested to invest and conduct business in the Sultanate.

 

The briefing was followed by an interactive session where participants we allowed to ask questions and discuss various related issues with Mr. Ali al Bualy. The session has attracted overwhelming interest by the participants.

 

The Embassy of Malaysia in Oman is glad to be able to organise such interactive session and would continue to participate in many public relation exercises, for the benefit of Malaysians in Oman.
