H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Rustam Yahaya and Y.Bhg Prof. Madya Datin Dr. Musrifah Sapardi have hosted a Welcoming Dinner in honour of H.E. Joselito C. Jimeno, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of the Philippines to The Sultanate of Oman and Madam Araceli C. Jimeno. The Dinner was held on 17 October 2011 at Shang Thai Restaurant, Al Khuwair, Muscat.
The Dinner was attended by H.E. Dato’ Dr. Haji Besar Haji Abu Bakar, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam and Datin Hajjah No Bayura Haji Lamit, Mr. Abdul Mun’in Ritonga, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and Madam Yenny Gafar, Encik Mohd Norhisyam Mohd Yusof, Counselor/Head of Chancery and Puan Kartini Maruzi, Encik Mohd Shahril Rahmat, Third Secretary as well as Mr. Jose Alejandro Jimeno, son of the Philippines Ambassador-Designate.
During his welcoming remarks, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Rustam welcomed the Philippines Ambassador-Designate and his family to Muscat and further wished him the best of luck in performing his duties. In reply, H.E. Jimeno expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Dato’ Ambassador Rustam and Datin for hosting the dinner and looked forward to further enhance cooperation among ASEAN Missions in Muscat.
