In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, His Excellency Dato’ Rustam Yahaya, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Sultanate of Oman and YBhg Datin Dr. Musrifah Sapardi have hosted Iftar and Tarawih prayers at their Official Residence (Rumah Malaysia) on 26 July 2012. Although the majority of Malaysians have left for summer vacations, nevertheless, more than 100 guests attended the event.

The event begun with all the guests breaking of the fast (Iftar) and followed by Maghrib prayers. They (including some noon-Muslim Malaysians)  were later treated with sumptuous Malaysian cuisines duly prepared by Perwakilan Muscat Ladies. The guests then proceeded for Isya’ and Tarawih prayers.

This event at the Official Residence was part of the monthly functions which the Embassy of Malaysia in Muscat organized for the Malaysian community. The venue was not only for Malaysians to perform their religious obligations and offer their prayers, but also it  gave them the opportunity to know and other fellow countrymen, in particular the newly arrived to the Sultanate of Oman.
