The Embassy of Malaysia in the Sultanate of Oman recently organized a highly successful working dinner for the Malaysian business and professional circle in the Sultanate of Oman. The well-attended event was held to gather representatives from Malaysian based companies carrying out projects in Oman as well as Malaysian professionals in the fields of oil and gas, finance, banking, tourism and hospitality.
In his welcoming remarks, HE Umardin Hj Abdul Mutalib, Ambassador of Malaysia to Oman shared his vision of establishing a Malaysian business grouping that could offer guidance and assistance to Malaysian companies interested to expand their businesses in the Sultanate. Such specialized grouping would provide an ideal platform for the exchange of information and act as the contact of reference to opportunities and facilities that Oman has to offer to potential Malaysian businesses and investors.
The idea was well received and supported by the group whom are willing to share their expertise and knowledge in their areas of specialization to contribute to the success of such grouping. Putting words into action, a pro tem committee was formed to discuss further details on establishing a formal group in the like of Oman-Malaysian Business Council in the Sultanate of Oman.
