YAB Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Abang Haji Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak, led a 15-member delegation on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman from 16-17 January 2018. During the visit, the Chief Minister called on H.E. Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas of the Sultanate of Oman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Development Oman, on 17 January 2018. Two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) were signed during the visit which will pave the way for collaborations in the oil and gas industries in Sarawak. The Chief Minister of Sarawak and Ambassador of Malaysia to Oman witnessed the signing ceremony which was held at Grand Millennium Hotel, Muscat. The Chief Minister and delegation also had the opportunity to visit Matrah Souq and Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
