MUSCAT: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, has arrived here to begin her four-day visit to Oman.

She was received on arrival at Muscat International Airport yesterday by Oman’s Social Development Minister Dr Sharifa Khalfan Al Yahya’eyah.

Also present was the charge d’affaires at the Malaysian embassy in Muscat, Norhisyam Yusof.

Rosmah flew in from Kuching where she had accompanied Najib on a visit to Sarawak.

She was accompanied by members of the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti).

Rosmah is visiting the sultanate as a guest of the Oman government, a status last accorded to a Malaysian dignitary two decades ago to the then Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Azlan Shah, in 1991.

She was greeted by members of the Malaysian community in Oman when she arrived at the hotel. —
