20TH STUDY MALAYSIA EXPO, MARRIOT HOTEL, 14-16 JULY 2018
Noting the momentum building up worldwide for better quality education, North Pole Investment (Pvt) Limited (NPI), a Pakistan company organized the 20th Study Malaysia Expo from 14-15 July 2018 in Marriot Hotel, Karachi. The two-day Expo was part of their programme to promote Malaysia as a centre for excellence in education in Pakistan covering the cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The Consul-General of Malaysia was invited to officiate the Expo. Seven Malaysian and international universities having campuses in Malaysia participated in the Expo namely Universiti Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Sunway University, Monash University, Curtin University, SEGI University, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation and Taylor’s University. Some other international institutions of higher learning were also participating such as ISL Germany and University of Northampton.
Speaking to the local media, the Consul-General apprised that Malaysia and Pakistan had taken steps to encourage and facilitate educational interactions between the two countries. Malaysia aspires to shape students who might not just compete globally in areas that require high cognitive skills, but are well-rounded in their reasoning/ analysing and leadership skills as well as possess bilingual/multi-lingual proficiency. The Consul-General is hopeful to see more Pakistani students pursuing their studies in Malaysia as Malaysia offers excellent facilities for students in a wide range of courses at competitive cost.
