Karachi: October 6, CG Abu Bakar Mamat handed over 20 metric tons of flood relief assistance from the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry to Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan , Governor of Sindh.
In the wake of the devastating flood in Sindh, Pakistan this year, Malaysian Palm Oil Industry players have stepped forward to contribute relief assistance in the form of palm oil-based vanaspathi ghee packs valued at Rs 3.6 million (RM130,000.00) . 10 ,000 families in the calamity hit areas are expected to benefit from the contribution. D awn Relief and Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Welfare Trust have been appointed to channel the distribution to the flood affected people.
5 million people in the province were affected by the flood when torrential rain hit pakistan in August 2011. 4 million acres of land inundated with over 1 million houses were washed away in the torrent. @myconsulKHI
