Mirphurkhas, 30 May: Following the 2011 flood in Sindh province, Mercy Malaysia set up a humanitarian project to refurbish and reconstruct the Tando Jan Muhammad rural health centre, which was badly damaged during the catastrophe. The health centre has the capacity to serve 40,000 residents in the area. The project is undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.
Consul General of Malaysia to Karachi Abu Bakar Mamat hands over the newly refurbished facility to the provincial government today. Mercy Malaysia Vice-President Dr. Mohamad Ikram Salleh is also present.
