THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER AT THE CHEQUE PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF THE PNG CITY MISSION HOME ON 5 DECEMBER 2011
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, who is also the Patron of the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea (MAPNG) attended the cheque presentation ceremony of the PNG City Mission Home (CMPNG) on 5 December 2011. It was held at the City Mission’s Mirigeda Farm which is about 30 minutes drive from Port Moresby.
Her Excellency the Malaysian High Commissioner and MAPNG Committee Members with the President, Mr. Nathaniel Ho and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the MBA Charity Golf, Mr. Ivan Lu were received by Mr. Hilary Wong, Chairman of CMPNG.
An amount of Kina 50,000 was donated. It was part of the fund raised at the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea MBA Charity Golf 2011 and Presentation Night/Thank you dinner held on 22 and 23 July 2011 respectively.
The local newspaper, the National, reported in its 7 December 2011 edition, an article “Malaysians give K50,000 to City Mission”.
