VISIT OF THE MALAYSIAN CRICKET TEAM TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA 31 AUGUST - 6 SEPTEMBER 2010
The Malaysian Cricket Team comprising of 14 players and 3 officials participated in the Air Niugini International Supa Series Cricket tournament in Papua New Guinea from 31 August – 6 September 2010.
On 2 September 2010, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Papua New Guinea, H.E. Datin Blanche Olbery, was at the Cricket Field, Amini Park, Port Moresby to give support to the Malaysian Cricket team at the Air Niugini International Supa Series Cricket tournament.
A dinner in honour of the visit of the cricket team was jointly hosted by the High Commission of Malaysia and Maybank PNG Ltd on 4 September 2010 at RH, Grand Palace Restaurants.
A final night dinner to celebrate Malaysia as the champion after defeating favourite Papua New Guinea cricket team in homeground was hosted by UMW PNG Ltd on 5 September 2010, at Ela Beach Hotel.
