Malaysia as the Chairman of ASEAN Committee in Doha (ACD), chaired the first ACD HoMs Meeting on 11 January 2012.
The meeting which attended by 6 ASEAN HoMs in Qatar, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines was held to announce the formal establishment of the ACD and also discussing about the ACD plan for 2012.
Malaysia will be the Chairman of ACD from 1st January 2012 until 30th June 2012. During this period, the Philippines are the Vice Chairman before becoming the next Chairman of ACD starting from July 2012 till December 2012.
HE Ambassador Ahmad Jazri Mohd Johar, Ambassador of Malaysia congratulated all ASEAN Missions in Qatar for the formal establishment and encouraged closer cooperation among ASEAN Embassies through various events and programmes.
