On 20 April 2026, Secretary General Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, H.E. Andrey Rudenko, co-chaired the inaugural Malaysia–Russia Bilateral Consultation in Kazan, Russia.
The meeting reaffirmed the close and growing ties between both countries, as well as their shared commitment to further strengthen long-term cooperation across political, economic and people-to-people spheres.
