Moscow, 15 March 2018- HE Ambassador Datuk Mat Dris Haji Yaacob, Malaysian Ambassador to the Russian Federation received Mr. Vladislav Baryshnikov, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for International Business Development of Gazprom Neft and his two other colleagues at the Embassy. Gazprom Neft is the third largest Russian oil company primarily engaged in oil and gas exploration and production, refining and sale of petroleum products as well as other downstream industries.
The exchanges of views between the two sides focused mainly on how to explore potential collaboration and business opportunities on oil and gas industry between Gazprom and potential Malaysia partner. Mr. Vladislav Baryshnikov also expressed his admiration on Malaysia’s excellent track record particularly on localizing production on oil and gas by Petronas.
