Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has appointed Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim (pic) as the new Foreign Minister of Malaysia. Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais had previously held the post of Foreign Minister from 1986-1987. His most recent portfolio was the Minister of Cultural, Art and Heritage.

Former Foreign Minister, Dato' Seri Syed Hamid Albar has been appointed as Minister of Internal Affairs.
