H.E. Dato' Mohamad Khalis, Ambassador of Malaysia and Datin Saripah Khalis hosted dinner for YB Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman and the Terengganu State Delegation at the Ambassador's Residence on 21 April 2009. The dinner was also attended by Malaysian students particularly those from the state of Terengganu.
YB Mr. Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, State Executive Committee Member for Education took the opportunity of the function to share with the guests about the programmes currently undertaken by the Terengganu Goverment to improve the quality of education for students from Terengganu. Part of the programme include sponsoring excellent students to study medicine in several countries including Russia. It is expected that around 40 students sponsored by the Terengganu Foundation would be sent to Moscow and Volgograd from September 2009.
At the end of the function, YB Mr. Ahmad Razif was generous to extend financial assistance to the Student Association in all 3 universities populated by Malaysian students in Moscow. Apart from that, small tokens were also distributed to all students that hailed from Terengganu.
